Relocation

Many people going through a custody battle or have already gone through a custody case are worried about the possibility of the other parent packing the children up and simply moving away one day without any notice.

To avoid this problem, the Oklahoma Legislature passed a law that requires that requires a parent to give the other notice of a proposed relocation of the children if that relocation is more than 75 miles away.  Click here to view the entire statute, which includes all information that must be given in the notice and the time to give such notice.
